The 29th Annual Calypso’s Cove Charity Go-Kart Race | September 12th, 2023

Celebrating 29 years! We are proud to announce the 29th year of the Calypso’s Cove Charity Go-Kart Race!  To date, the race has raised over $285,000 for many local causes.  This exciting event brings local businesses, organizations or teams of individuals together to vie for the coveted trophy and to work together as a community for worthy charities. We would like to cordially invite you to take part in this exciting event and help us to celebrate the 29th year and the end of summer.

The 28th Annual Calypso’s Cove Charity Go-Kart Race will take place on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The beneficiaries this year are St. Bartholomew’s Food Pantry and Kinderwood .   Please come out to the race and support the local community and these worthy causes.

Date: Tuesday, September 12, 2023
(Rain Date: To Be Determined – please call 315-369-6145 to confirm postponement due to rain). Gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing to begin at 5:30 PM sharp.

Entry Fee:
$300, which covers five racers who will each run in two heats, along with food and tickets for 3 beverages for each racer. Additional beverages can be purchased for $5 each. Team leaders should send their check for $300 and a list of five racers to Calypso’s Cove Charity Go-Kart Race, 3183 State Route 28, Old Forge, NY 13420. The entry form can also be downloaded at  Interest in the race is high, so don’t be disappointed, send your entry today. The deadline for entry is 5:00 PM Monday, September 11th, 2023 or the maximum team limit, so don’t delay.

Race Spectators will be admitted for a donation of $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under twelve. The donation includes food and tickets for 3 beverages. Additional beverages can be purchased for $5 each. All proceeds from the event are donated to the benefactors. Please bring ID for proof of age. Raffle – Race participants and spectators can purchase raffle tickets before or during the event. Door prize raffles will be awarded throughout the evening and the same tickets are used for a 50/50 raffle at the end of the race. If you are interested in donating a door prize or gift certificate, please call 315-369-6145 or stop into the Enchanted Forest Water Safari office.

50/50 Raffle – 50% of the raffle money will be split with the above benefactors. If you send in your race entry by September 6, 2023 with your payment for 50/50 raffle tickets at $5.00 each or 10 for $20.00, we will double the number of tickets placed in the drawing. Ticket numbers will be issued the day of the race and tickets will also be on sale at the event. Please return a list of team members and signed rules with your entry fee. It is the responsibility of the team captain to be sure that all team members are aware of the rules. Team members may be substituted the night of the race. Team captains must check in at entrance to pick up team envelope.


1.Team must be paid in full to race.

2.Team captain must submit list of team members.

3.Unsafe actions by team members will disqualify entire team.

4.No driving before race – racing starts at 5:30pm.

5.Drivers must drive in assigned race and car. No substitutions.

6.Due to insurance policies, racer must be 16 years of age with valid driver’s license to drive for this event.

7.Pit boss can refuse anyone to race.

8.No food or drink in car. No smoking.

9.Seat belts must be worn. Failure to do so is a disqualification.

10.Spinout disqualifies a racer.

11.Exiting kart during race disqualifies racer.

12.Only the first five finishers score points.

13.Management reserves the right to remove anyone from the property.

14.All racers are racing at their own risk.

15.All judges’ decisions are final.

16.Remember – This Is For Charity and For FUN!!!
